Hattie’s 138 Influences Relating to Achievement

After collaboration with one of my class mates Scott during a lecture activity, we were surprised to discover that ‘students own expectations’ ranked number one on Hattie’s 138 influences relating to achievement. As future educators it is important for us to first understand what this means for our students and, how we can support to achieve their self-reported grades. I found the following article to be particularly illuminating in regards to fostering students own high expectations.
